LOST IN FUSETA continues: Filming starts for ARD Degeto crime series with a trail of shadows.

In September of last year, Gil Ribeiro’s bestseller LOST IN FUSETA had its television premiere: Over four million viewers followed the investigations of Inspector Leander Lost (Jan Krauter) and his colleagues Graciana (Eva Meckbach) and Carlos (Daniel Christensen) in the Algarve. Now, the sequel to the ARD Degeto crime series, produced by 307 production, is in progress: LOST IN FUSETA – TRAIL OF SHADOWS (AT) is being filmed until June 8, 2023, at original locations in Portugal. In addition to Jan Krauter, Eva Meckbach, and Daniel Christensen, the main ensemble includes Anton Weil, Bianca Nawrath, and Filipa Areosa, with guest appearances by Portuguese stars Adriano Luz (“Glória”) and Lúcia Moniz (“Love Actually”).

Leander Lost (Jan Krauter), a German inspector with the Policia Judicária, experiences Portugal as the land of sunshine. When his colleague Teresa (Carlota Crespo) disappears, Lost does not suspect that this is related to the visit of the Angolan journalist Flores Yola (Nuna) in Fuseta. With the sub-inspectors Graciana Rosado (Eva Meckbach) and Carlos Esteves (Daniel Christensen), he feverishly searches for his colleague. Only when Lost realizes that a suspect is the victim of extortion does the highly intelligent Asperger’s autistic fear a murderous plan. But there is only a little time to prevent further crimes. The “Trail of Shadows” leads the investigators to corrupt elites in Angola and ruthless contract killers.

Holger Karsten Schmidt is once again responsible for the scripts. The Grimme Prize winner, who also wrote the novel, recently released the sixth book in his successful book series. The crime-experienced Felix Herzogenrath directs. Niklas Wirth and Christoph Pellander (ARD Degeto) are responsible for the editorial work.
