On the tranquil island of Öd, life still seems peaceful and in perfect order. But appearances can be deceiving—because it’s time for “Deadly Service Tuesday” on RTL! With MORDEN AUF ÖD – EIN INSEL-KRIMI (Murders on Öd – An Island Crime Thriller), a brand-new crime series kicks off on April 8, 2025, at 8:15 PM. Expect two brand-new cases filled with Nordic humor, an eccentric island community, and an undercover investigator who ensures that no crime goes unpunished.

The leading roles in MORDEN AUF ÖD – EIN INSEL-KRIMI are played by Paula Kalenberg and Max Hubacher, alongside Detlev Buck, Steffen Münster, Lars Rudolph, Meral Perin, Franziska Hartmann, and Sebastian Zimmler. The films are directed by the multiple award-winning Richard Huber (“Club der roten Bänder”, various “Tatort” episodes, “Ein Fest fürs Leben”). The scripts come from Holger Karsten Schmidt, a Grimme Award winner, bestselling author, and the mastermind behind numerous successful crime series (“Die Toten von Marnow”, “Nord bei Nordwest”, among others).

A Murder, a Cover-up, and an Investigator Who Won’t Give Up

Life on Öd is thrown into turmoil when a boat washes ashore—carrying a dead body. The three island police officers, Rolf Benz (Detlev Buck), Jürgen Benz (Steffen Münster), and Klaus Hansen (Max Hubacher), realize that this case could ruin both their careers and their easy-going lives. Their solution? Cover it up! No body, no murder, no problem. But they didn’t count on Maja Stein (Paula Kalenberg). The young police officer is sent undercover to the island with one mission: to solve this case.

Episode 1 – “Day of Reckoning” (April 8, 2025): A body washes up on Öd—and the island police quickly decide to send it back out to sea. But when young investigator Maja Stein arrives, sweeping the case under the rug is no longer an option.

Episode 2 – “The Haunting” (April 15, 2025): Maja Stein is stunned—she’s been assigned to permanently take over the vacant position on Öd! But before she can come to terms with her fate, a supermarket explosion kills another man. Was it a targeted murder or just a random victim?
