After many years of marriage, Luzi (Andrea Sawatzki) and Dietrich Liebholz (Christian Berkel) have lost the spark, but an experiment by their therapist suddenly turns the couple’s life upside down: Angel Harald (Armin Rohde) is supposed to save their lost love – and the two swap bodies overnight. Andrea Sawatzki and Christian Berkel continue their successful comedy series with A NIGHTGOWN FOR TWO (EIN NACHTHEMD FÜR ZWEI) (AT). They will be filming in Cologne and the surrounding area on behalf of ARD Degeto Film for ARD until mid-December. The screenplay was written by David Ungureit and Marc Terjung, and Rick Ostermann is directing. Their fourth film together, A TAXI FOR TWO (EIN TAXI FÜR ZWEI) (formerly ‘Berühmt sein für Anfänger’), will celebrate its TV premiere on Friday, 16 January 2026, at 8:15 p.m. on Das Erste and will be available in advance on Wednesday in the ARD media library.

The marriage of Luzi (Andrea Sawatzki) and Dietrich Liebholz (Christian Berkel) is over. Even their couples therapist Sven (Serkan Kaya) can’t do anything to help. They decide to divorce – shortly before their daughter Amelie’s (Luise Aschenbrenner) wedding. In order not to ruin Amelie’s wedding, they keep the news to themselves for the time being. As a last resort, their couples therapist tries a new method: the angel Harald (Armin Rohde) is supposed to help them change their perspective. When Luzi and Dietrich wake up the next morning, they are horrified to discover that they have not only changed their perspective, but also their bodies! To avoid being thought crazy, Luzi and Dietrich pretend that nothing has happened. While Dietrich has mother-daughter conversations with Amelie and Luzi talks shop about football with Dietrich’s mate, they have to get Harald to swap them back. But he has no intention of doing so…
