In spring 2023, 307 production filmed the second part of the successful bestseller series “Lost in Fuseta”. In “Tracing Shadows”, Asperger’s autistic detective Leander Lost (Jan Krauter), along with Sub-Inspectors Graciana Rosado (Eva Meckbach) and Carlos Esteves (Daniel Christensen), immerses himself in the investigation of a missing colleague. The case leads them into an extremely exciting story with unexpected implications, delving into Portugal’s colonial past.

Inspector Lost has a photographic memory, recognises lies immediately and has lightning-fast powers of deduction – but he has to learn to ‘read’ the nuances of communication with his mind just as much as he has to learn to read irony, empathy or love.

In the film adaptation of the bestselling crime thriller of the same name, the team of investigators immerse themselves in an operation involving former secret service circles, which soon turns into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

The scripts for this TV highlight were written by Holger Karsten Schmidt, who is also the mind behind the pseudonym Gil Ribeiro, the author of the eponymous novel series. Felix Herzogenrath directed the production. The two parts of the episode were broadcast on 4 April and 6 April 2024 and were the most successful two-parter on a Thursday and Saturday, as well as the most streamed format in Germany in April 2024.
