Katharina studied sociology and psychology in Mannheim, Exeter and New York before completing her PhD on the emergence of auteur cinema in New Hollywood at the intersection of social sciences and data science. She combed through old screenplays in New York’s archives and watched the films that emerged from them in the city’s cinemas. Her passion for storytelling eventually led her from research into production: she gained her first practical experience as a junior producer in a production company in Hamburg and at the European Producers Club in Paris. She joined 307 production in March 2026 and is particularly enthusiastic about material in which social issues intersect with powerful emotions. Katharina loves taking a critical look at these issues just as much as she loves approaching them with humour.
